COMING SOON · FOCUSED PEAK SHAPER

Drive it
into shape.

Chicken Clipper puts six controls around one job: turning peaks into a sound you can place. Add Drive, choose the rounded Soft curve or the firmer Hard boundary, blend the clipped path with Mix, then finish the level with Auto and Output.

  • Soft and Hard clipping characters
  • 0 to +24 dB Drive
  • Latency-stable Power comparison
  • Planned price: €29 EUR or $29 USD
  • Invite-only macOS CLAP beta

SOFT OR HARD

Two edges
for the peak

Shape changes how the signal meets its ceiling. The selection stays visible in the switch and in the feather silhouette at the clipping guide.

SOFT

A rounded transition

Soft bends into the boundary. It suits dense material that needs added saturation and controlled peaks while retaining a gentler onset.

HARD

A firm boundary

Hard holds a straighter ceiling. The square feather line and brief clipped-feather motion make sustained reduction easy to spot.

ONE SURFACE

Six controls.
A short decision path.

01

Drive

Raise the level into the shaping curve across a 0 to +24 dB range. The value is shown in decibels.

02

Shape

Choose Soft or Hard. Host automation uses the same two named states.

03

Mix

Blend the latency-aligned dry and processed paths across 0 to 100 percent.

04

Auto

Apply static level support based on the settled Drive and Shape values.

05

Output

Add a final manual trim across -12 to +12 dB. It remains available while Auto is active.

06

Power

Compare the complete effect through a compensated dry path while every saved setting stays in place.

LIVE VISUAL FEEDBACK

The meter
has feathers.

The chicken rises toward a fixed guide as the driven signal approaches the selected curve. Once clipping begins, the panel shows peak reduction in decibels and changes the crown to the chosen Soft or Hard treatment.

That movement follows read-only signal information from the plug-in. It never changes the sound or the saved project state.
